So let’s start with this: I’m Fleur Hull. I’m a best-selling author, book marketing strategist, and creator of Author Growth. I’ve worked with over 100 authors to help them launch their books successfully, and the same story keeps playing out.

An author finishes their book. They’re proud of it, maybe even exhilarated. They post their Amazon link. Friends cheer.

And then… nothing.

No sales spike. No new readers. Just silence.

I created The Substack Bookstore because too many brilliant, heartfelt, valuable books disappear. Not because they’re bad books. But because their authors had no audience, no support, and no real plan for how to get their book seen.

This space exists to change that.

Why This, Why Now

I believe in self-publishing. I believe in indie authors. And I believe that most people writing books aren’t doing it for fame or fortune, but because they have something important to say.

What’s missing isn’t talent or passion. It’s community: a place where authors help each other rise.

That’s what we’re building here: a space where writers support writers, where we buy each other’s books, celebrate launches, share visibility, and make sure no one goes it alone.

What Kind of Community Is This?

This is not a promo pit.
It’s not a “post and ghost” group.

It’s a generous, curious, and uplifting author collective, where we:
